Free pick won again yesterday.  Seems like I could just copy and paste that sentence lately.  It was an even better day for members if any of you decide you want to join someone who actually bets on sports for a living.  You won't find anyone better for long-term profit.  The few guys who do win are not going to be found selling picks on the internet.  All the guys you see on twitter, facebook, and other social media are not professional bettors.  Even the guys you see on popular sites like vegasinsider and covers are not winners.  None of them.  And certainly none of the user accounts on pickmonitor are professional bettors.  Ask any of them about their predictive math model built on correlative statistics.  They won't have a clue what you're asking about because they don't have one, and most likely never heard of one.  That's why I'm the only person with at least 4K picks and at least a 1% ROI.  Soon to be 5K picks and a 2% ROI.  Everyone else loses eventually

Free picks went 4-3 over the weekend.  Hope everyone made some money. Anyone who bought a single day of picks and lost, send me an email and I'll give you a week for free to make up for it.  Ok, I know everyone just wants the free pick so let's get right to it. NHL Washington +100 vs Toronto.  The Capitals xGF : xGA is 6.4 : 5.4, but the Leafs is exactly the opposite 5.4 : 6.4.  The biggest difference is the Capitals block over 14 shots per game, which is terrific defense, while the Leafs block only 10.  The Leafs also have a save percentage under 89%, so the combination of not blocking a lot of shots and not saving a high percentage makes it pretty clear why their xGA is 6.4.  Line should be -138, but the public seems to love the Leafs, so let's take the generous even money price on the Capitals, who should score a bunch.

MLB Houston +115 (Greinke, xFIP 3.73) vs NY Yankees (Tanaka, xFIP 4.29).  The wind will be howling straight out for this game, so it's imperative for pitchers to keep the ball on the ground.  Greinke is one of the very best with a 52.5% GB rate.  He also strikes out 21%, so that doesn't leave very many fly balls.  If he does give up a homer it's likely a solo shot because he only walks 3.5% of batters.  Tanaka strikes out fewer batters, gets fewer ground balls and walks more guys. 

I didn't give out an "official" free play yesterday and boy did I hear about it!  I got so many emails asking if they should bet Arizona, I guess I'll have to update the blog post during the day if there's no overnight free play.  But you guys could just become members and you will get all the plays every day.  It doesn't cost much, probably won't put a dent in all the money you  made on the free plays. Weekend free picks won again with a 4-2 record.  Members had an even better weekend across all sports.   Basketball starts next week so it's a great time to sign-up with all major sports being played in October.  It's one price for all sports, you get everything I bet. I haven't bet anything yet for tomorrow, so I can't give out a free pick.  I don't just throw out a free pick like some guys do, I actually bet every free pick I enter on here.  The closest thing to a pick right now is the Arizona Coyotes.  The line is +115 which offers a little value, but not enough to make it an official bet.  I would get interested at +124.

Washington vs Arizona Over 59 NHL Washington +100 vs Dallas.  Capitals have a Corsi For 182 vs Stars Corsi Against 163 (League wide average is 135).  Stars do block over 15 shots per game, but that's because they have a lot of opportunities since they give up so many shots.  Stars CF 144 vs Capitals CA 154 with Capitols blocking 12 shots per game, so look for the Stars to get fewer shots than the Capitols.   F

NHL Tampa Bay -105 vs Toronto.   The Lightening haven't played very well to start the season, so apparently the public thinks they are terrible.  That's the only explanation for this line because it should be -155.  It's possible this is the best price on the Lightening all year. 

A pair of game 5's in baseball today, but not much value in betting either one of them.  Maybe there's some line movement in the morning to get us a play.  Red Wings couldn't hold a 3rd period lead for us yesterday, so let's get back to the free winners. NHL: Philadelphia -125 vs New Jersey

Send an email to become a long-term member or use the links on here for weekly or daily bets.  Ok right to the free winner today: NHL: Minnesota +145 vs Nashville.    The public still thinks the Preds are a great team and this line reflects that.  But the Wild are a better team and will finish the year ahead of the Preds.  Line should be Wild -106, which gives us about a 9.5% edge in price. 

Olympiakos was looking good yesterday with the lead in the 2nd half, then they get a red card and get blown out.   Some are blaming the ref for a bad decision, but players at this level should know not to put themselves in a position to get a red card when your team is winning.  MLB: Tampa Bay +120 (Morton, xFIP 3.28) vs Oakland (Manaea, xFIP 3.98).  Manaea hasn't pitched much this year, so he's probably not going deep into this game.  While his metrics look good, he's done this with a BABIP .194 which of course will regress towards .300.  Morton strikeout rate 30% and ground ball rate 48%, so that doesn't leave many fly balls.  The wrong team is favored here, Tampa should be -127 so let's take the extremely generous price.

It was a profitable weekend with Friday and Sunday leading the way.  Saturday was slightly disappointing, but overall everyone made money this weekend.  The NHL starts this week and the NBA starts soon.  It's a great time to become a member with every major sport playing in October.  You get every bet in every sport for one price.  You won't find a better deal, especially from someone who actually wins. Champions League: Olympiakos +140 vs Red Star Belgrade.   Olympiakos had a 2-2 draw against Tottenham, but they should have won the game because shots and expected goals were in their favor.  It's a big step down in competition against Red Star, who were destroyed 3-0 by Bayern and it wasn't even that close as Bayern relaxed and didn't try to run up the score.  Then Red Star lost to Partizan, which shows the Serbians aren'
